Our Client

The Holiday Inn Express is a busy hotel located in the heart of Cheltenham. The large reception area, bar and restaurant require the lighting to be on 24 hours a day as residence have access to the facilities round the clock.

The Problem

The original spot lights and light bulbs were incurring high electricity costs for the hotel and the lighting system need to be upgraded, not only to save money, but to be more energy efficient.

What we did

Bence Eco replaced all the original spot lights and light bulbs to their LED equivalent, reducing their lighting electricity costs by 92%. This gave them a saving of £5,470 a year and £27,530 over the next 4.5 years.

These savings are based only on the spot lights and light bulbs being changed in the reception and bar areas. This resulted in a 0.9 payback period and has reduced their Carbon footprint by 9 carbon tonnes per year.
